Where Meisterplan is still the right answer
Comparison pages written by vendors tend to find that the vendor wins every row. Meisterplan is a good product with a sharp point of view, and there are portfolios where nothing on this page beats it. If any of these describe you, stay where you are.
Scenario planning is the daily job
If your planners genuinely live in side by side scenarios, dragging initiatives through time to watch the capacity curve react, Meisterplan treats that as the product rather than as a module. That is hard to match with a lighter tool.
You plan hundreds of named people
Per resource pricing hurts when most of your planning is at team level. It is fair when you really do schedule several hundred named individuals and need every one of them modeled.
Free unlimited users matters to you
Meisterplan charges for schedulable resources and states on its own pricing page that users are free and unlimited. If you want a hundred managers reading plans, that model is genuinely cheaper than per seat licensing.
Vendor independence is a criterion
